GENE SIMMONS Rings Opening Bell On NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE; Video Available
November 19, 2008KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons rang the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange early Wednesday morning (November 19). Watch video footage of his appearance at NYSE.com.
A short interview with Simmons conducted today on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange can be viewed at 236.com.
As previously reported, Simmons was a guest on the November 7 episode of Fox's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" As his popular family looked on, Gene rocked the test and spirited fans cheered him on this atypical game show that tests adults' lack of knowledge as revealed by how much they've forgotten since elementary school.
Simmons earned $500,000 for the Glazer Pediatrics AIDS Foundation but he declined on the $1,000,000 question that came from fifth-grade science. The question was, "What does the K represent on the Periodic Table of Elements?" If he would have answered the question, his answer would have been Krypton, which was incorrect. The correct answer was Potassium.
